Ctihodný Dhammadípa se rozhodl šířit Buddhovo poselství v Evropě. Za tímto účelem založil Buddhistické centrum Lesní klid s cílem poskytnout prostor pro studium a praxi buddhismu a dalším duchovním směrům, které souzní s buddhistickou naukou. Název pochází ze sanskrtu, jednoho z kanonickým jazyků buddhismu. Shanta Vana lze přeložit do češtiny jako lesní klid či utišený les.

The Friends of Dhamma is a group of people interested in the study and practice of Theravada Buddhism. It has close contact with the Thai Forest Tradition in the lineage of Ajahn Chah. Some members also translate texts from the Pali Canon into Czech.

'Karunā Sevena' means compassionate abode, (Karunā is Compassion and Sevena is abode)  where Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi resides in Czech.  Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi established this small monastic environment as a place of refuge for practitioners and dhamma friends to practice and learn together in peace and harmony.

The name 'Karunā Sevena' was given by Venerable Bhikkhuni Visuddhi's teacher, Venerable Bhante Pemasiri.
Venerable Bhante Pemasiri is considered as one of the most modern and highly qualified respected meditation teachers in Sri Lanka.

DÓAN Pardubice je občanské sdružení lidí z Pardubic nebo jeho okolí, kteří se zajímají o buddhismus théravádového směru a dle svých možností se ho snaží praktikovat v každodenním životě tak, aby jeho členové a lidé žijící kolem nich byli šťastnější a spokojenější.

There have been lots of books translated into Czech since 1989 and the number of people who have had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Buddha's teaching has increased. We would like to see more people have this opportunity so that people who read only in Czech can have easier and cheaper access to a larger number of Buddhist books. For this purpose, the Dharma for Free (Dharma-Zdarma) project is being established.

Dhammarama, a non-profit organization, unites the followers of the original Buddha’s teaching, who intend to establish a buddhist monastery and a meditation centre in the Czech Republic named AYUKUSALA DHAMMARAMA VIHARA. This place is supposed to be a retreat for monks, nuns and lay meditators, who wish to cultivate their minds according to the Buddha´s method, Dhamma, which leads to the happy life coping. Dhammarama bases its activities on the skillful life coping tradition, Ayukusala. Since the beginning of the nineties this method has been instructed in our country by Dr. Mirko Fryba, now known as a buddhist monk, Venerable Ayu Kusalananda.

The aim of the Dhamma Centre Bodhipala is to create circumstances and space for the study and practice of Buddhas teachings. In this spirit Bodhipala organizes lectures, seminars, meditation courses, invites monks for meetings and visits.
