https://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/mn/mn.044.than.html

3. В общем смысле "sa"nkhata" этот термин можно передать как "(все) конструированные (явления)", "всё конструированное".

По поводу значения "конструирование" интересны сутты:

"Well then — knowing in what way, seeing in what way, does one without delay put an end to the effluents? There is the case where an uninstructed, run-of-the-mill person — who has no regard for noble ones, is not well-versed or disciplined in their Dhamma; who has no regard for men of integrity, is not well-versed or disciplined in their Dhamma — assumes form to be the self. That assumption is a fabrication."

For the sake of form-ness, they fabricate form as a fabricated thing. For the sake of feeling-ness, they fabricate feeling as a fabricated thing. For the sake of perception-hood... For the sake of fabrication-hood... For the sake of consciousness-hood, they fabricate consciousness as a fabricated thing. Because they fabricate fabricated things, they are called fabrications."

Одно из значений санкары, которое относится к конструируванию:

Обуславливаемое, Обусловленное, и Обусловленность.

Обуславливаемое, это когда одно обуславливает другое.

Обусловленное, это то другое, которое обуславлевается тем одним.

Обусловленность, это процесс обуславливаниея одно другим.

ЦитироватьTHE THREE MEANINGS OF SANKHARA

We are making the inner, mental experience that these bodies condition each other in this way. The body which is the causal conditioner is given the name kaya-sankhara (body conditioner) to distinguish it from the other, the one effected by the conditioning, the "conditioned body." Work on this fact in the mind, seeing it as if it were physically tangible. See the one group condition and nurture the other. See them arise together, fall together, coarsen together, become fine together, grow comfortable together, and become uncomfortable together. Realize how intimately they are connected.

This is what is meant by "seeing all bodies," Watch both bodies together and see them condition each other. This is valuable for seeing truth more extensively, for realizing anatta, even. In seeing this interrelationship, we see that what occurs is merely a natural process of conditioning. There is no atta, no self, no soul, no such thing at all involved. Such understanding can have the highest benefit, although it may be somewhat beyond the specific object of this step. For now, however, we only need to understand this fact of conditioning enough to be able to regulate the flesh-body, to calm it by regulating the breath-body. (73)

I would like to take this opportunity to discuss all the meanings of the term "sankhara." This is a very common and important word in the Pali scriptures, but many people have problems with it due to its different uses and meanings. Languages are like that, uncertain and seemingly unreliable. The single word "sankhara" can mean "conditioner," the cause that conditions; it can mean "condition," the result of the action of conditioning; and it can mean "'conditioning," the activity or process of conditioning. We use the same word for the subject of the conditioning, "the concocter," as well as the object, "the concoction." We even use it for the activity, "the concocting," itself. This may be a bit confusing for you, so please remember that "sankhara" has three meanings. The correct meaning depends on the context. This knowledge will be valuable in your further studies. (74)

Study the three meanings of sankhara in this body of ours. There is no need to study it in books or in a theoretical way. The body itself is a sankhara. It has been conditioned by a variety of causes and by the many things of which it is formed. Thus, it is a sankhara in the meaning of "condition." Once this body exists, it causes the arising of other things, such as thoughts, feelings, and actions. Without the body these thoughts and actions could never happen. Thus, it is a "conditioner" because it causes other actions. Lastly, in this flesh-body sankhara of ours, there is the process of conditioning going on constantly. We can discover all three aspects of the word sankhara within this very body. Study the meaning of sankhara in this comprehensive way. Then you will find it easy and convenient to realize more and more profound Dhamma as you go on. (75)

The Translation of the Term "Samskara" in the Chinese Buddhist Literature
Ven. Hsing-kong

http://www.chibs.edu.tw/ch_html/bcc/an19_115.htm

Ассаджи

Профессор Торчинов переводил этот термин как "волевой импульс".

"санскары (волевые импульсы, ведущие к новому рождению; болоцзиди)"

http://anthropology.ru/ru/texts/east/mahayana-samgraha.html#n12

http://psychosoma.ho.ua/ilyin_volya/ilyin_volya_4_2.html

Однако, как это часто бывает со словами иностранного происхождения, слово "импульс" здесь остается малопонятным.

Слово "воля" само по себе означает способность,

"ВОЛЯ, способность к выбору деятельности и внутренним усилиям, необходимым для её осуществления."

http://www.megabook.ru/ArticlePrint.asp?AID=621717

и поэтому здесь не подходит, поскольку речь идет об актах проявления воли.

Для обозначения волевого действия употребляется термин "воление":

"Вводя термин «воление», мы имеем в виду сознательное волевое действия в отличие от понимания воли как такого состояния, где отсутствуют внешние ограничения для деятельности, что нередко путают со свободой, хотя это лишь инстинктивное стремление, а не сознательное действие."

http://culturolog.ru/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=180&Itemid=5#_ftn5

в том числе и для перевода буддийского термина, о котором идет речь:

"Воление (volition) является второй по списку самскарой."

http://www.mudrost.org/tehnologiya-mudrosti/volition-takes-upon-witnessvolenie-zahvatqvaet-nablyudatelya/msg10953/#msg10953

и в философии:

"Фома сочетает тезис Аристотеля с августиновскими реминисценциями: воление есть по преимуществу акт интеллектуального самоопределения. ... У Декарта понятие воли несколько шире понятия разума, но по сути своей воление – модус мышления."

http://iph.ras.ru/elib/0657.html

Bahupada

"THE FIVE KHANDHAS: THEIR THEATMENT IN THE NIKAYAS AND EARLY ABHIDHAMMA":

The nikāyas define samkharas primarily in terms of will or volition (cetanā); they also describe them as putting together (abhisaṃkharonti) each of the khandhas in turn into something that is put-together (saṃkhata). In this way saṃkharas are presented as conditioning factors conceived of as active volitional forces. Cetanā is, of course, understood as kamma on the mental level, and in the early abhidhamma texts all those mental factors that are considered to be specifically skilful (kusala) or unskilful (akusala) fall within the domain of saṃkhārakkhandha. Thus it is that the composition of saṃkhārakkhandha leads the way in determining whether a particular arising of consciousness constitutes a skilful or an unskilful kamma. All this accords well with the nikāyas' singling out of cetanā as characteristic of the nature of saṃkhāras.

Питер Харви пишет:

(I.6) The main Buddhist analysis of personality is that it consists of the five khandhas, 'groups', or upādāna-kkhandhas, 'groups of grasping'. These are five groups of processes that we normally grasp at as 'I' or 'me'. They can, thus, loosely be described as the 'personality-factors' (and they will be referred to in this way in this work). The five are:

i) rūpa: '(material) form', meaning the body;
ii) vedanā: 'feeling', the hedonic tone of any experience, its aspect as being pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral;
iii) saññā: 'cognition', that which recognizes, classifies and interprets objects of the senses and mind;
iv) the saṅkhāras: a number of 'constructing activities', of which the typical one is cetanā, or volition; others include such things as emotional states and attention;
v) viññāṇa: generally translated by the rather vague term 'consciousness', but, as argued in chapter 9, better seen as 'discernment': sensory or mental awareness which discerns the basic parts/aspects of its object.

http://books.google.com/books?id=1azdAAAAQBAJ&pg=PA4

THE NATURE OF THE CONSTRUCTING ACTIVITIES

(8.2) To explore how the constructing activities condition discernment, it is first necessary to understand their nature. The word 'saṅkhāra' itself is derived from 'saṃ-' (together) + 'kṛ' (to do) +'a' (denoting an agent or action noun), that is 'putting-together activity', or 'constructing activity'. The term is sometimes given the prefix 'abhi-', which has the sense of mastery, as in over-coming (PED.61), but this adds little extra meaning. Either word means activity which is combining, constructing, coordinating, synthesizing, arranging, organizing, forming, preparing. It is also dynamically motivating, as shown at A.I.111, where 'abhisaṅkhāra' is used to refer to the momentum which keeps a free-rolling wheel turning for a while. The constructing activities occur both in the list of the twelve 'links' (nidānas) of Conditioned Arising and that of the five personality-factors. As a personality-factor, they are 'the six collections of volition (cetanā-kāyā): will (-sañcetanā) for sights, will for sounds, for smells, for tastes, for touchables, and for mental objects' (S.III.60). As a link, they are said to be the three 'constructing activities' (saṅkhāras): of the body (kāya-), of speech  and of mind (citta-) (S.II.4), the three 'doors' of action. S.II.39-40 sees these three 'constructing activities as equivalent to bodily, verbal and mental will (-sañcetanā). D.III.217 also talks of the 'three saṅkhāras' as 'goodness-(puñña-)', 'badness-(apuñña-)', and 'imperturbable-(āneñja-)' abhisaṅkhāras. The 'constructing activities' link, then, is comprised of the activities of will in their aspect as that which leads to actions and the generation of karmic results, which puñña- etc. lead to. It refers to the endeavouring, reaching-out aspect of mind, and so is seen, at Ps.I.52, to consist of 'strivings' (āyuhanā).
(8.3) Will or volition (cetanā) seems to be the central constructing activity. In the Suttas, this is seen as equivalent to karma: 'I say cetanā is karma; having willed, one performs an action by body, speech or mind' (A.III.415). That is, it is that which initiates action.
